a bit about me:
After a long career in the steamship industry, in which I lived and worked on four continents, I retired to Mexico in 2008 in order to start a second career as a writer.
Together with wife Susan and dog Bess I live in a village named Ajijic on the north shore of Lake Chapala, Mexico's largest lake. We are about an hour south of Guadalajara at 5,000 feet in the Sierra Madre mountains in the state of Jalisco. The climate here is considered to be the best in the world, neither too hot in the summer nor too cold in the winter. This area has been a haven for writers and artists for many years. One of my favorite authors, W. Somerset Maugham finished The Razor's Edge while living here and D H Lawrence wrote The Plumed Serpent while living in Chapala.
Since moving here (from Bainbridge Island, WA) I've written and published three books that are available for purchase on Amazon and other sites. My best seller is "HOW TEDDY TOOK PANAMA" which received much critical acclaim.
